Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) will be tested, disassembled and components re-used where possible. WEEE is then de-polluted, shredded and separated into its major raw material elements facilitating the reprocessing of plastics, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, resulting in a ‘Zero Landfill' disposal performance.
The WEEE plant has a high powered, Quad-Shaft shredder capable of processing 3.5 tonnes of WEEE per hour.Automatic separation technology efficiently separates plastics and non-ferrous materials.
The WEEE recycling site operates in accordance with the EU's WEEE Directive (Annexes II & III) and published best practice recycling guidance (BATRRT). It is an approved authorised treatment facility and is accredited to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards.
