  • Mixed, 'One - Sack' recycling for plastic bottles, food containers, wrap, film/sheeting, bags;  glass bottles and jars and drink cans, tins and foil.

Waste electrical & electronic equipment

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) will be tested, disassembled and components re-used where possible.  WEEE is then de-polluted, shredded and separated into its major raw material elements facilitating the reprocessing of plastics, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, resulting in a ‘Zero Landfill' disposal performance.

The WEEE plant has a high powered, Quad-Shaft shredder capable of processing 3.5 tonnes of WEEE per hour.

Automatic separation technology efficiently separates plastics and non-ferrous materials.

The WEEE recycling site operates in accordance with the EU's WEEE Directive (Annexes II & III) and published best practice recycling guidance (BATRRT).  It is an approved authorised treatment facility and is accredited to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards.

In order to safely store and transport the items, we provide heavy duty clear sacks and uniquely numbered security zip tags.

Some items such as CRT monitors contain hazardous components.  In such cases, we will ensure that a consignment note accompanies the collection  and we will ask you for all the information required before we collect in order to ascertain whether a consignment note is required.

We can collect up to 5 sacks when we collect your paper, otherwise, we will arrange a special collection for you if you have larger quantities.
