Mixed paper & card

This is our principal service, usually offered  initially by a 3 month trial.  We will collect regularly from you from a central collection point on your premises (either in or outdoors), as often as you need -automatically on a weekly, fortnightly  or three weekly basis, or less frequently upon your request by phone, e-mail or fax.  If you do not have a suitable central storage area, we can still provide you with a solution; please request a consultation with one of our representatives.

We will provide you with a stock of  reusable polypropylene sacks in which to store your waste paper and card and then collect from you at regular intervals.

You may wish to use bins to line with our sacks.  We can provide suitable containers which will fit our sacks; alternatively you may wish to purchase your own from an alternative supplier or you may simply want to use a sack-only based system. It's up to you!

For some useful hints and tips on how to set up a successful new office paper recycling scheme, why not request our free e- Guide Book through the Contact Us  page?

There are two pricing options to consider :

  • Fixed Contract Scheme

Collection charges are based on the number of staff taking part in your scheme and the price is a fixed charge per collection made, regardless of the quantity of sacks collected.  (Does not include office clearances)

  • Pay As You Go (PAYG) Scheme

There is a one-off registration fee which varies depending on the number of collection points required. There-after, the cost of recycling your office paper is charged on a per sack or per outdoor wheelie bin basis - discounts are offered to registered charities.

The minimum quantity required for collection is usually 5 sacks.

Cardboard

For larger quantities of cardboard we provide a separate collection service.  If you are a registered member of one of our office paper recycling schemes, you will benefit from a 10% discount when you recycle your cardboard wastes with us.

We  supply dedicated large sacks  for you to store your flattened clean cardboard, but we will also collect loose cardboard if preferred.  We only charge for the volume actually collected.

Printer cartridges

We will recycle any empty ink jet & laser cartridges  completely free of charge as long as you are already recycling your office paper with us.  We simply ask you to place your empty items in its original packaging, seal with tape and place with your sacks of paper ready for collection.

Mobile 'phones

We will recycle any unwanted mobile 'phones from you completely free of charge as long as you are already recycling your office paper with us. You simply place them in a separate bag next to your paper ready for collection.

Drinks cans

Clean, washed metal drinks cans and aluminium foil will be recycled  free of charge if you are  already recycling your office paper with us.  All you need to do is place your squashed items in a plastic bag or sack and leave them alongside your paper for collection.

Alkaline dry-cell batteries

Sorted household alkaline batteries  are the most common type of 'dry-cell' battery e.g. 'heavy duty', 'long life' -  AA, AAA, C & D sizes.

We can also recycle button cell and re-chargeable batteries thorough our mixed WEEE scheme (see below)

We offer a range of suitable storage buckets & bins or alternatively, you may wish to use your own containers.

We will collect your batteries when we collect your paper & will weigh them using a portable bench scale.  There is no minimum amount required for collection but the price we charge is based on up to a maximum of 20 Kg collected at any one time.  However, if we collect more than 20 Kg we  will offer a discount on a per kilogram basis - please enquire.

Waste electrical & electronic equipment and mixed dry cell batteries

Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) will be de-polluted, shredded and separated into its major raw material elements facilitating the reprocessing of plastics, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, resulting in a ‘Zero Landfill' disposal performance.

The WEEE plant has a high powered, Quad-Shaft shredder capable of processing 3.5 tonnes of WEEE per hour.

Automatic separation technology efficiently separates plastics and non-ferrous materials.

The WEEE recycling site operates in accordance with the EU's WEEE Directive (Annexes II & III) and published best practice recycling guidance (BATRRT).  It is an approved authorised treatment facility and is accredited to ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 standards.

In order to safely store and transport the items, we provide heavy duty clear sacks and uniquely numbered security zip tags.

Some items such as CRT monitors contain hazardous components.  In such cases, we will ensure that a consignment note accompanies the collection  and we will ask you for all the information required before we collect in order to ascertain whether a consignment note is required.

We can collect up to 5 sacks when we collect your paper, otherwise, we will arrange a special collection for you if you have larger quantities.
